Maitland Art Center
Maitland has its share of cultural and historical attractions, even for a relatively small rural town. One of its most significant is the Maitland Art Center. Maitland Historical Museum
The Maitland Historical Society operates the Maitland Historical Museum. You can get the idea of the period far before the area was officially discovered and settled by non-Native Americans with the exhibits it displays. The Seminole tribe owned the city. They named the town after natural melons, which provided much of the sustenance to the people.
Maitland Farmer’s Market
From 9 am to 2 pm, you can explore the Maitland Farmer’s Market every Sunday at Lake Lily Park on Maitland Avenue. The market also features live entertainment apart from offering body and health products, arts and crafts, and amazing seasonal produce. Before you start your shopping, you can enjoy coffee by arriving early, and you can have plenty of free parking on-site.
